Freedom Party First to Launch
2007 Ontario Election Bid

Bold campaign kicks-off exactly two years prior to polling day

October 4, 2005, Toronto
- Freedom Party of Ontario today became the first provincial party in Ontario to launch its election platform and campaign for the 2007 general election. The launch comes exactly two years prior to Ontario's next general election polling day: October 4, 2007.

At a press conference held in Toronto this morning, media in attendance were provided with advance copies of Freedom Party's 2007 election platform, entitled "The Right Direction". Loaded with illustrations that make its points clear, the platform focusses on six of the major issues facing the province.

The party also previewed a richly detailed marketing plan that makes use of a new promotional device which, it predicts, will make Freedom Party a familiar, well-defined, and welcome addition to the political landscape.

As part of the campaign launch, Freedom Party will begin to run an Ontario billboard campaign this week. The billboards familiarize Ontarians with Freedom Party's new 'look' and brand, and will stake out the party's clear-cut positions on the issues.

Freedom Party's election platform will be made available to the general public this evening with the 11:55 PM launch of the party's new web site design: freedomparty.on.ca (until 11:55 PM today, the party's old design will remain in place). At 11:55 PM, the new web site will also provide the public with full access to the party's marketing materials, including some of the billboard art that Ontarians can expect to see turning heads around the province over the next two years.
