(CTS). The topic of discussion: Salman Rushdie (author of “The Satanic Verses”) and the fatwa issued on February 14, 1989 by Iran’s then “supreme leader” Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini calling upon all Muslims to kill Rushdie for having insulted the Prophet Mohammed in “The Satanic Verses”, a book that Khomeini said was “blasphemous against Islam”.
